INTRODUCTION OF VEDIC MATHEMATICS

  • In this post I would like you people to introduce great treasure of India. and the treasure is "Vedic mathematics".
  • India is famous for it's valuable history. India gave many mathematician to world."Santa" of India gave many valuable thing to India. one of this is "Vedic mathematics". Vedic mathematics give very basic idea of mathematics

  • Vedic Mathematic is based on sixteen sutra's or principles, which we will see one by one in detail in my next blog. These principles are general in nature and can be applied in many ways. In practice ,the Vedic system is used to solve difficult' problems or huge sums in more effective and easy .These methods are just a part of a complete system of mathematics. The simplicity of Vedic Mathematics helps us to solve the calculations mentally with sufficient practice.in short, we can say it is way, by which we can make mathematics easy and interesting.
  • Vedic mathematics is basically made up of 16 sutras. and they all are as follows:

             sutras                                                                                means

1.Ekadhikina purvena                                            By one more than previous
2.Nikhilam Navatashcaramam Dashatah            All from 9 and last from 10
3.Urdhva-Tiryagbhyam                                           Vertically and cross-wise                 4.Paraavartya Yojayet                                            Transpose and apply
5.Shunyam saamyasamuccaye                             If the samuccaya is the same it is zero
6.Anurupye shunyamanyet                                     If one is in ratio the other is zero
7.Sankalana-vyavakalanabhyam                          By addition and by subtraction
8.Puranapuranabhyam                                           By the completion or Non-completion
9.Chalana-kalanabhyam                                        Differential calculus
10.Yaavadunam                                                      By the deficiency
11.Vyashtisamanstih                                              Specific and general
12.Shesanyankena charamena                            The remainders by last digit
13.Sopaantyadvayamantyam                                The ultimate and twice the penultimate
14.Ekanyunena purvena                                         Bye one less than the one before
15.Gunitasamuchyah                                              The product of the sum
16.Gunakasamuchyah                                            All the Multipliers

so, these all 16 sutras are basic or you can say main sutras. there are other sub sutras also around  3 or 4,they all are as below:

1.proportionately
2.The remainder remains constant
3.the first by first and last by last

All this sutras are looking hard first time by reading their name, because their name are so complicates. but they are so easy.from my next post we will discuss one by one all the sutras in detail.so be ready for dive in sea of knowledge.
